the actual NATO summit
Despite what some people think, covering the NATO summit doesn’t always mean you are dodging baton blows in between the police and protestors. I spent this past Monday covering a day of press-approved meetings at the summit held at McCormick Place in Chicago. There were 2200 media credentials, so it’s always tough to try to get non-staged shots when all the press events are set up with hundreds of other cameras. With that said, I was able to capture some moments I felt were real, including with President Barack Obama, top, U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, second image from top, and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen with Afghan President Hamid Karzai in the fourth image from the top.
